As college students, many of us grapple with the quintessential question. What do I want to be when I grow up? While it might feel like we are expected to have all the answers, the truth is, our aspirations often evolve with time, experience and self discovery.

The vision of who I want to become is not tied solely to a job title but to a purpose driven life. I aspire to be a professional who makes a meaningful impact whether it is as a teacher shaping young minds, an entrepreneur driving innovation or a social worker championing change. What matters most to me is finding a path where my passions align with my ability to contribute positively to the world.

The “why” behind this aspiration lies in my desire to leave a legacy of growth and kindness. Success, isn’t measured by wealth or prestige but by the difference I can make. I want to inspire others, cultivate meaningful connections and continue learning every step of the way.

However, I recognise that this dream will only become a reality with hard work and adaptability. College is the perfect place to explore various paths, develop skills and refine our goals. It is okay to be unsure and to pivot when necessary. What truly matters is the willingness to persevere and the courage to dream big.

So, as you navigate this journey, I keep an open mind and an open heart. To all my peers, let’s focus not just on what we want to be but on why and let that “why” guide us toward a fulfilling future.
