Structure & Policy of IRC:
The “Institutional Research Committee” (IRC) is a functional unit, that acts as a standing Subcommittee of the University Research Committee. It serves as the over-arching body mandated to ensure appropriate policy in place of governing all researches conducted under “The Institution”.
Membership:
The committee of IRC will include the Chairperson, Vice chairperson, at least 2 members from each program and 1 minimum External member.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- The basic policy consist Monitoring, Promotion, and upgradation of knowledge for students and staff.
- To recommend research ethics policy to the University Research Committee for adoption & implementation.
- To take care of the responsibility for the consent of the University policy on good research practice.
- To serve as an arbitrator on matters pertaining to research policy in institution.
- To be responsible for appropriate linkages with external organizations.
- To superintend the provision of relevant research ethics policy information for staff and students engaged in research.
- To advance proposals for streamlining the process of ethical review in University, while safeguarding maximal compliances with the policy on Good Research Practice.
- Furnishing an annual report to the University Research Committee.
- To recommend policies pertaining to research integrity to the University Research Committee for adoption and implementation.
- To create research environment in the institute at all levels extending from staff to students.
- To develop a concrete policy and implement measures for promotion of research activities.
- Periodic management and monitoring of research performance and upliftment of research work.
- To enhance research promotional activities such as Staff Development Programme and Workshops to improve quality research.
- To enhance Evidence Based Practices
