ENTERPRENEURSHIP LECTURE
People’s Institute of Management & Research organized an Expert Lecture on 01 May 2023 for its students of both undergraduate and post graduate students. The orator of the event was Ms. Jayshree Nair. She is the Director and CEO of ANGC Group India Pvt. Ltd. Dr. Abhilasha Jain, HOD, PG program welcomed the guest with a bouquet of flowers. The topic of the seminar was Entrepreneurship. She told students about the basics and how to develop Business skills among them. She encouraged them to look for ideas and work on them to develop their own start-ups. India is a country of young developing minds and our Prime Minister has also launched many schemes to support entrepreneurs. To encourage our talented students, Ms. Jayshree guided them with her knowledge. The students also asked their queries and made it an interactive session. It was a great and successful event.

TRIBAL MUSEUM PICNIC
People’s Institute of Management & Research organized an excursion to Tribal Museum on 06 May 2023 for its students of both undergraduate and post graduate students.
42 students from BBA/B.Com/MBA(HA) joined the picnic to the museum and enjoyed along with the faculties.
The tribal museum was designed by Revathi Kamath. It was inaugurated in 2013. The museum is divided into six different themes galleries showcasing traditional art, craft and culture of various tribes of Madhya Pradesh. Students learnt a lot about the cultural and heritage of Madhya Pradesh.
Students were also provided with refreshments. After the visit, all the students gathered to have a pool lunch and enjoy the picnic. The day ended with a lot of memories.

FACULTY CRICKET MATCH
People’s University organized a Tennis ball Inter College Cricket tournament for its teaching and non teaching staff from 27th February 2023 to 3rd March 2023. The tournament had nine teams from various colleges and PIMR was one of them. Team PIMR won its first match against People’s Hospital Staff. Next match was won again by PIMR against SORT. Team PIMR reached semi finals and played against Nursing College. Team PIMR won again and reached into finals to play against People’s Pharmacy College.
Team PIMR lost the match but won the hearts and gave a tough match to the Pharmacy team. The tournament promoted sportsmanship and discipline among all the staff members.

35 students from BBA/B.Com/MBA(HA) joined the picnic and enjoyed along with the faculties. The Regional Science Center Bhopal engaged in popularizing Science and Technology amongst students in particular and the masses in general, through a wide range of activities and interactive programmes. Students also enjoyed Taramandal Show and 3D movie in the ccentre.
Students were also provided with refreshments. After the visit, all the students gathered to have a pool lunch and enjoy the picnic. The day ended with a lot of memories.

PIMR organized a Financial Wellness Awareness Program on 16 June 2023 for its teaching and Non teaching staff in the campus. The program was conducted to raise awareness among the staff regarding Financial Markets and securities.
This session was joined by around 45 staff members of the various institutes including PIMR,PIHM, Law department, both teaching and non teaching members.
Orator of the event was Mr. Praveen Jain, who is a Financial Corporate Trainer. Head of the Institute, Dr. Sunil Agrawal welcomed the guest of honour with a flower pot.
Mr. Praveen discussed about various securities in the market and how can the investible ones be identified and how to gain out of them.
Overall it was a great interactive session and all the members gained a lot of financial knowledge.

On June 5th, 2023, People’s Institute of Management hosted a tree plantation and poster presenting event in honour of World Environment Day. The United Nations established June 5 as World Environment Day to draw attention to how important environmental preservation and health is, as they have an impact on human well-being and global economic growth.
Students from the III and V Semester took part in the activity. In presence of HOI, they planted saplings and contributed towards clean and green nature. They created numerous posters emphasising the preservation of nature and a world free of plastic. The PIMR is dedicated to educating pupils about the numerous events taking on around the nation or the globe. Since they are the nation’s future, it is crucial that children understand their environment, its value, and how to safeguard it.

Every year on July 26, the country celebrates Kargil Vijay Diwas. The triumph of the Indian armed forces over Pakistan in the Kargil War is remembered on this day. The purpose of the day is to honour the bravery and sacrifice of the soldiers who fought in the 1999 conflict.
People’s Institute of Management & Research along with its students participated in this celebration. A small ceremony was organized in the campus for the event. Professor Kiran Panjwani spoke on the significance of the day and praised the valour of the Indian army.
Following that, students collectively swore an oath to always honour those troops and our country. They pledged to act like a thoughtful citizen and an honest Indian.

People’s Institute of Management & Research organized an eight day Orientation program for the new students of batch 2023. Orientation marks a successful beginning of a college session as it assures to the new students that they made a good decision in their college choice. It also helps students prepare for a successful career with clear vision about what lies ahead and what can be achieved at the end of their courses.
The program began with a teeka ceremony for all the new students. Senior students welcomed new students in the campus by putting a teeka on their forehead to mark a beautiful start to the journey of their college lives. After which Saraswati vandana was done to seek blessing from the goddess of knowledge & wisdom. On this beautiful day, People’s Institute of Management and Research celebrated the hardship and efforts of the professors of PIMR. The programme was organized by students of UG & PG program. The programme was attended by all the faculty members along with the non teaching staff of the college.
Classrooms were beautifully decorated with flowers, balloons, and festoons. The event commenced at 12 Noon. The teachers were welcomed with a teeka, flowers and gifts. The event by graced by Prof. Akhilesh Mittal (Dean Academic Affairs). The students dedicated various dance performances, and songs for their beloved teachers. Cake cutting and fun games were also played in the event. The students made sure to make all their teachers feel special and valuable.
At the end of the programme, Dr. Sunil Agrawal (Principal, PIMR) gave a vote of thanks on behalf of all the teachers and also appreciated the teachers for their immense contribution to the institution for years. The entire program ended on a happy note.

JANMASHTAMI
Janmashtami is the birthday of lord Krishna which is celebrated with great enthusiasm all over the country. The holy occasion brings people together, thus it signifies unity and faith. On this auspicious occasion, People’s Institute of Management and Research (PIMR) celebrated the festival of Janmashtami in the campus, with great zeal and enthusiasm. The Programme commenced with ritual of Krishna aarti and worshipping lord Krishna. Dr. Sunil Agarwal (Principle, PIMR) initiated the ceremony by offering flowers and aarti to the almighty.
Students sang bhajans and celebrated the event with full enthusiasm. After this, boys of UG program proceeded towards Dahi Handi celebration in the campus garden. Dahi Handi celebration encourages the importance of team work, unity and faith. The students were overjoyed when they broke the “Dahi Handi”. The tremendous efforts of students made it a beautiful sight to watch.

The speaker of the event was Mr. Rahul Bhargava, founder of Rdot Ventures and Shekunj. He is also a prestigious TEDx speaker. He commenced the session with fundamental principles of marketing and its strong presence in today’s competitive landscape. He presented various real world case studies to exemplify successful branding campaigns.
The event undoubtedly contributed to expanding student’s horizons and preparing them to tackle the challenges of the dynamic marketing landscape.

People’s Institute of Management and Research organized a fresher’s party named Aagaaz 2023 in Small Auditorium, People’s University on 16 Sep 2023. The event was coordinated by Assistant Professor’s Manisha Rajdev and Kiran Panjwani.
The main purpose of this event was to maintain harmony and welcome new graduate & postgraduate students, which was celebrated with great pomp and enthusiasm. The program was inaugurated by lighting the lamp by honorable Vice Chancellor, People’s University Dr. Harish Rao and Director Dr. Sunil Agarwal.The main attraction of Aagaaz 2022 was dance, singing and ramp walk. The ceremony aimed to provide a platform to the students to showcase their talent and skills in various fields in which they performed singing and dancing.
Satyam Udeniya (MBA I Sem) and Ifra Khan (BCom I Sem) were awarded Mr. and Miss Fresher. The title of Mr. and Miss Attire was given to Nikhil & Nandini (BBA I Sem). These were selected through ramp walk and question answer round, in which students performed amazingly and were awarded with the trophy.
The program ended with lots of fun, food and music.
