A) COMMUNITY DENTAL HEALTH
Dept of Community Dentistry is also running four satellite centers in Bhopal. They are fully equipped and catering to the needs of Dental health care of the local areas.

B) TRAINING OF SCHOOL TEACHERS ON DENTAL HEALTH
Department of Public Health Dentistry invites a group of teachers from schools to the Institution and organizes DENTAL HEALTH EDUCATION AND AWARENESS workshops regularly. The teachers are made fully aware of the dental problems and preventive measures by use of audiovisual gadgets like models, charts, projection slides, and power point presentations. The teachers are taken around the departments to show them the modalities of preventive and corrective measures of the dental problems. The aim is to educate teachers and to enable them to impart Dental Health Education to the school children.
C) TRAINING OF CLASS IV EMPLOYEES ON HEALTH.
The training programmes are conducted periodically on various aspects of health for Class IV employees of all the Institutions in People’s University. The aspects covered are:
- AIDS And Preventive Measures
- Disposal of Biomedical waste
- Dental Health Education
D) DENTAL HEALTH CAMPS
The Department of Public Health Dentistry conducts regularly dental check up and treatment camps in schools and rural areas. Mobile Dental Clinic (Bus) is taken to the camps to extend treatment facilities. The bus is equipped with the audiovisual equipment, TV and DVD player to extend the Dental Health education. Models and charts are also carried to the camps for educating the masses.
PROSTHODONTIST DAY CELEBRATION (22 JANUARY 2019) AT PCDS
On the occasion of Prosthodontics Day, Department of Prosthodontics, PCDS&RC organised an event which had Rangoli Competition (on the theme of highlighting the various treatment and rehabilitation procedures pertaining to Prosthodontics) and Dental Art competition for under graduates and post Graduate students. Rangoli competition was won by Dr.Apoorwa Awasthi , Dr.Deepali Dongle and Dr.Priyangi Singh. The dental art competition was won by Mayank Malviya,Final year student.
FATHERS DAY CELEBRATION
The members of students council initiated to mark Father’s day, where all the students got an
opportunity to express there feelings towards there fathers. They organized 2 competitions –
1.) “100 words expression” where everyone got a chance to express there feelings and gratitude
towards there respective fathers in 100 or less than 100 words in the form of poetry, quotes or
lines.
2.) “Feelings on paper” which was a sketching competition where students made beautiful
sketches related to there fathers.
The event was beautifully conducted and the enthusiasm of students was the cherry on top.
POST GRADUATE ORIENTATION DAY AT PCDS
ORAL HYGIENE DAY CELEBRATION AT PCDS
1ST August’19: Oral Hygiene Day celebration: The day was celebrated with a lot of zest and zeal in PCDS & RC in the presence of Dean, Dr.Ajay Bhambal, Vice Deans, Dr.Parimala Tyagi & Dr.Swapnil Parlani, Faculty of the Department of Periodontics, Dr.Veena Kalburgi (HOD), Dr.Kapil Jain (Professor), Dr.Sumedha Srivastav, Dr.Sonal Wakhale, Dr.Vartika Katoch, Dr.Somil Saxena & Dr.Seema Vanshkar and the HODs of all the respective departments. The programme commenced with ‘Saraswati Vandana’ and lightening of the lamp in remembrance of Dr.Govind B Shankwalkar. This was followed by a small talk on Oral Hygiene Aids by Dr.Pooja Bhardwaj and a skit dedicated to create awareness on issues around oral health and the importance of oral hygiene, performed by the post graduate students of the department of Periodontics.
GERIATRIC DAY CELEBRATION BY DEPARTMENT OF PROSTHODONTICS
An oral health check-up and awareness camp was organized by Department of Prosthodontics, Crown & Bridge, PCDS & RC at Village Nalkhedi, Tehsil- Bairasiya on the occasion of World’s Geriatrics Day ( 01-10-2019)
In this Rural camp more than 50 geriatric patients were examined through oral health check up and made aware about the tooth loss, its consequences on general health as well as nutritional status of body.
